Waldorf University hires Haley Bush as Assistant Volleyball Coach

FOREST CITY, Iowa - The Waldorf University Volleyball program is excited to announce the hiring of Haley Bush as Assistant Volleyball Coach. She will join Head Coach Bri Ebenhoe and Associate Head Coach Matt Ebenhoe on the Waldorf Volleyball staff.
Coach Bri Ebenhoe said about the hire: "We are very excited to have Haley join our staff. She has so much knowledge and experience around the game, and her enthusiasm is a wonderful match for our program and culture. We feel fortunate to add her as another resource for our Warriors."
Haley comes to Waldorf with an impressive resume of playing and coaching experience. Haley most recently spent this Fall as the 10th Grade Coach & Varsity Assistant for Waukee High School. During the 2024 season, Waukee made it to the 5A State Quarterfinals, losing to eventual State Champion Pleasant Valley. She has also coached club in the Des Moines, Iowa area since her own high school days, coaching for Iowa Powerplex and Roots Volleyball Academy.
An alumna of Waukee High School herself, Bush followed up a stellar high school playing career by playing collegiately at Drake University. A 5-year starter for the Bulldogs, Bush graduated as the Career Kills record holder at Drake. She was consistently recognized as one of the top volleyball athletes in the Mississippi Valley Conference during her time at Drake, twice winning MVC Player of the Year during the 2020 and 2022 seasons. She was also named Honorable Mention All-American during each of these seasons.
Coach Darrin McBroom of Drake University shared, "I am very proud of Haley and all that she has accomplished in her young career thus far. She always knew that collegiate coaching was what she wanted to do when her playing career ended, and I am so happy to see her following through with that. I think she will do exceptionally well on Coach Ebenhoe's staff, and I think she will be a great resource and benefit to the young women in that program!"
Following her time at Drake, Haley played one season of professional Volleyball for the Guaynabo Mets in Puerto Rico, before returning to Iowa to begin her coaching career.
Haley shared about the opportunity to start her collegiate coaching career at Waldorf, "I'm so excited for the opportunity to join the Waldorf University volleyball team and the Forest City community! Everyone has been so helpful in getting me accustomed to the city and campus. I cannot wait for the future successes that are to come!"
