Bio
Coach Bryce Paulsen enters his first season as the sprints and hurdles coach for the Waldorf Warriors.
Paulsen brings experience as a 2 year assistant coach at Marshall High School working with the throwers, jumpers, hurdlers, and sprinters. In his time there, Paulsen helped coach 15 all conference athletes and 4 conference champions. He has his USTFCCCA TFA Technical Certification.
Paulsen attended the University of South Dakota and Northwestern College. At the University of South Dakota, Paulsen was a part of the 2023 and 2024 Indoor Conference Championship Track and Field teams. During the 2024 Summit League Conference Championship, Paulsen recorded a score of 4,762 placing him 8th in school history for the heptathlon. Paulsen graduated from University of South Dakota with his MA in Interdisciplinary Studies – KSM, Leadership, Psychology.
While at Northwestern College, he received All-Conference honors for the heptathlon and decathlon, including a 3rd place finish at the 2022 GPAC Championships, a score which placed him 20th in the nation for the decathlon. At the time of graduation, Paulsen sat 6th in school history for the 400m hurdles, 5th in the heptathlon, and 4th in the decathlon. Paulsen graduated from Northwestern College with a BA in Business Administration and Political Science.
Paulsen currently resides in Forest City with his wife Olivia and two dogs Zeus and Penny
