Three Warrior Volleyball athletes receive GPAC All-Conference recognition

FOREST CITY, Iowa - The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced its 2024 All-Conference Volleyball teams on Tuesday, and three Warriors received recognition for their play this Fall.
Kenzie Kidd (Senior, Outside Hitter, Roscoe, IL) was selected for 2nd Team All-Conference recognition. Kenzie was the Warriors leading attacker this Fall, averaging 2.97 Kills per set and hitting 0.209%. She was also second on the team with 3.36 Digs per set. Head Coach Bri Ebenhoe reflected, "Kenzie had a tremendous season this year. She has worked hard for 5 years to improve herself and has been nothing but coachable and hungry. We are so proud of the career that she has put together, and it is fitting that she has been recognized by our conference."
Anna Longhenry (Junior, Right Side Hitter, Fenton, IA) and Kaylee Kidd (Senior, Libero, Roscoe, IL) also received Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition. Anna was the Warriors 2nd leading point scorer on the season, averaging 2.25 Kills per set and 0.66 Blocks per set. Coach Ebenhoe noted, "Anna had a breakout season for us this year. She improved her attacking tremendously and was tasked with blocking some of the best attackers in the nation. What I am most excited about is having another year to see her continued growth." Kaylee led the Warriors in Digs per set with 4.13 and Aces per set with 0.35. "Kaylee is such a gritty player and has such a passion for being the best," Coach Ebenhoe stated. "It is truly fitting that her 5th season ends with her recognition – she has really set the standard for consistent effort and achieving her goals."
The Warriors competed well in their first season as a member of the GPAC, finishing in 9th place with an 11-14 Overall record and 5-11 in Conference play. The highlight of the team's season came in a home win on October 5th over #18 Midland University. The Kidd sisters and Anna Longhenry played key roles for the Warriors throughout this season, earning their respective postseason awards. "In a new conference, you never really know what to expect, and we competed well and had a memorable season. I am so proud of the way our team met challenge after challenge and am already looking forward to the work we are going to do to be ready for next year," said Coach Ebenhoe.
